I am an economic development professional leading public-private partnerships to transform economies in rural, tribal and urban communities throughout the Pacific Northwest.
I’m based in Vancouver, Washington but available for work or adventures most anywhere.
After graduating with a Masters in Environmental Science and Regional Planning from Washington State University, I spent 40 years in business and economic development recruiting and growing businesses across a wide variety of sectors including semiconductors, renewable energy, software, timber, marine trades, aquaculture and small business. As the CEO of local and statewide non-profits, I built and funded organizations that impacted the livability and welfare of the communities I served.
Business Recruitment
Designed and executed domestic and international business recruitment programs that have resulted in excess of $2 billion in capital investment and over 10,000 jobs in both urban and rural markets across multiple industry sectors.
Business Expansion
Executed local business expansion and retention programs that successfully engaged local businesses and leveraged additional investment and jobs.
Fund Raising
Raised millions of dollars of public and private finding for local economic development initiatives including three successful capital campaigns each in excess of $5 million. Have written and administered successful grants from SBR, DOL, EDA and Washington state.
Non Profit Adminstration
Started and led public-private partnerships with annual operating budgets in excess of $1.5 million and staffs to 10 economic development professionals.
